Android 15 is out but not for you
Published: 19 SEPTEMBER 2024
Today, following a long time of designer sneak peaks and public betas, Android 15 is at last completely prepared. It's prepared, it's steady, it's out - yet not so much for you. Or then again us. Only engineers until further notice.
Google has transferred the Android 15 source code to the Android Open Source Undertaking (AOSP), yet refreshes aren't prepared presently - not in any event, for
Google Pixels. The September update that began carrying out today for
Google's cell phones is still Android 14.
Android 15 will at last come to
Google Pixels - including the fair sent off
Google-Pixel 9 family - "before long",
Google guarantees, while gadgets from
Samsung, Honor, iQOO, Lenovo, Motorola, Nothing,
OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, vivo, and Xiaomi will get it "before very long".
We've previously heard that Android 15 would just hit
Google Pixels in October, and
Google appears to have affirmed this without saying it by and large. Meanwhile, designers can take a gander at the AOSP code and do anything it is they do with it.
